IT Systems Lead & Quality Assurance

What are we looking for

We are looking for an experienced expert in IT, Systems Admin, Desktop Support or similar to work closely with our Software Development team.  We aren't necessarily looking for someone who has experience working in a software development role, but are looking for passionate problem-solvers and service minded people who are very comfortable taking on some big projects including but not limited to building a robust and reliable local network, managing our hardware and infrastructure, employing effective security policies, and much more.  The multi-faceted role will ensure you always have the best understanding of how our technology and systems can coexist with our products. 

Who you are

You're a problem solver who loves helping people and you have an intuitive understanding and passion for technology.  You are extremely proficient with computers, software, networking, and are the person people call when they need help with technology.  You are looking for a challenging role where you will have the opportunity to build, innovate and lead.  Above-all, you are a go-getter who doesnt wait for the work to come to you, and understand leading with out a title. 

What you'll do

This is a highly unique role, where you will act as a Desktop Support representative for all our staff - a team of roughly 30, as well as a Systems Administrator for out technology and network, and also as a support for our Quality Assurance team. Don't worry, there will be balance, and we will teach you anything you don't already know from a QA perspective.  

Some tasks you an expect are:

  • Supporting the everyday needs of our staff and their workstations.
  • Creating, deploying and maintaining security systems and policies
  • Making data easily accessible to those who need it while maintaining security.
  • Acting as the administrator most of our systems and software
  • Documenting changes and providing high-level updates
  • Working with the QA team on ongoing testing and collaboration to improve cross-functionality. 

What you need

Located in Kelowna - this is not a remote position.

1+ years experience as a System Administrator or Desktop Support

Demonstrable understanding of Basic to Intermediate networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, VOIP)

Experiencing working with the Google Enterprise ecosystem would be a huge asset

Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to grow a business

Client Services Representative

What are we looking for

We are looking for a full-time Client Services Representative for our growing Client Care Team.  In this role you will be submersed in the claims process and be accountable for our clients' inquiries are handled quickly on a day-to-day basis, while maintaining important regulations throughout the process

Who you are

Although, not required, the ideal candidate may have experience working within the Group Benefits or Insurance industries.  You have a growth mindset and are experienced in fielding all kinds of questions and inquiries while striving for first-contact resolutions.  You're an empathetic, patient, and self-aware critical thinker who is passionate about your clients while understanding the need for sensitivity and confidentiality.  In addition, you may possess the following skills:

  • Solid customer service background with excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong multitasking and analytic skills.
  • Proficient with computers and software (MS Office, GSuite and Slack)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Where do we store it

Simply Benefits may use third parties to store and process data. Simply Benefits will ensure that such third party service providers have significant expertise with data and digital privacy. Simply Benefits will ensure that personal data is stored and transmitted in encrypted format using technology such as SSL. Third party data storage and processing providers may be located in the United States and as a result personal information may be subject to U.S. privacy law which may differ from Canadian privacy law.

How We Use It

The information we collect is used so we can communicate with you, provide benefits and insurance management services, improve our products and services, and meet our regulatory obligations.

We share only the information which is reasonably required in the normal course of business with third parties such as our custodians, securities regulators, auditors, legal counsel, or law enforcement agencies, to enable them to fulfill their obligations to Simply Benefits and our clients. We may also disclose your personal information to third-party service providers, affiliates and agents in order to assist us in providing the services you requested and to fulfil the purposes for which your personal information has been collected.
