Group Benefits Administrator - Ayr Ontario
We’re looking for a dynamic Group Benefits Administrator with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Benefits industry.
They will be responsible for handling group admin inquiries in a timely and efficient way. They will be knowledgeable
enough to walk clients through enrollment process, plan designs and general invoicing inquiries.
What will you be doing:
The Group Benefits Administrator will provide excellent customer service to our clients. This will include but is not
limited to:
- Processing enrollments, employee changes and terminations
- Ability to analyze and investigate premium discrepancies and to see beyond the numbers
- Interpret related Benefit policies and procedures and support compliance with government and provincial regulations
- Answer phone calls and assist members with claim/coverage inquiries
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes
- Additional basic tasks within Support Team as required
What you need:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in an insurance company, group benefits role
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with our clients
- Attention to detail and maintaining accurate client files
- Capable of interpreting and applying claim guidelines while working through ambiguous situations
- Dedicated team player with the ability to take the initiative, be independent with a positive attitude and dedication to quality and accuracy
- Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented; well developed ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Certification: None required although GBA or Group Benefits Certification would be considered an asset
- Bilingual (English /French) – no required but would be considered an asset
- A good understanding of personal computers and software, particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook and G Suite

Group Benefits Junior Underwriter - Ayr Ontario
We’re looking for a Group Benefits Jr. Underwriter to work full-time as part of our Insurance team. This role is a key resource in supporting the Sales and Service teams in meeting the needs of clients and other stakeholders while balancing our profitability and risk profile in partnership with our insurance carriers. Core duties of the Group Benefits Jr Underwriter include the delivery of quotes and proposals for new group sales, experience analysis and renewal reports for existing clients, and ongoing pricing analysis of plan-design amendments.
What will you be doing:
As a member of the Insurance team, you will be responsible for quotes, renewals and projects that help grow our book of business. You will collaborate with our leadership team to create new processes and workflows to continuously improve upon the experience that we deliver to our advisor community.
What you need:
- Strong mathematical ability- Good verbal and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of underwriting in the Group Benefits line of business
- Understanding of group life and health insurance concepts and product offerings
- Awareness of the group benefit insurance industry and key competitors
- Ability to look at things from a strategic and tactical perspective
- Deductive reasoning, problem solving ability and flexibility of decision making
- Good interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm with an interest in working in a changing environment.
- Have obtained or are working towards completing the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or the Group Insurance Certificate Program (Advocis)
- A strong business development mindset with a focus on sustainable growth
